Photo of the Day

Doesn’t get much more big mountain than this. I get arm pump just looking at this photo. Leave it to Brage Vestavik and Kade Edwards to bomb a mountain like this in Chile. Photo credit goes to the talented Margus Riga.

Trails of Transformation: Arthur Sykes

It was Veterans Day here in the U.S. this past Monday. We definitely wanted to make sure we highlighted this incredibly powerful Arthur Sykes video. Arthur is a U.S. Marine who found his way back to peace and purpose through an unexpected path: mountain biking.

The original Intense M1 came out in the 1990s. Today it is an absolute sled. High pivot design. DT Swiss wheel set. This bike was built to break records on the track. We’re just bummed Aaron Gwin isn’t on it anymore!

Trail of the Day

Evolution - Bellingham, Washington

Photo: Logan Ervin

Evo’s like a playground in the wild—half a mile of pure fun packed with jumps, ladders, and drops, linking the summit to RD 3000. Right out of the gate, it throws a string of doubles your way, setting the flow before you roll up on the Stinger, a long, gnarly log ride that got a fresh rebuild in early 2015.

From there, things keep flowing with a few trail drops and some table tops, until you hit the twin ladder drops (don’t worry, there’s a ride-around if you’re not feeling them). The last challenge? A techy off-camber sandstone slab to keep you on your toes before you finish up on another run of doubles that pop you right back onto the road.
