Just another weekend at the office

Photo of the Day

We sifted through a mountain of weekend photo submissions, but this shot of Tim Bringer stole the show.

Big style, unreal backdrop, and a reminder that some people just have better Saturdays than the rest of us.

Video of the Day

Alex Volokhov takes us deep into the Canadian backcountry, where glaciers, peaks, and freeride dreams collide.

Years after first discovering this zone, he finally returns, only to be reminded that Mother Nature doesn’t always play nice.

Smoke, storms, and unpredictable conditions add to the challenge, but the mountains still deliver their magic.

This one’s got big lines, big scenery, and even bigger respect for the wild.

BONUS: Mountain bikers banned in the birthplace of mountain biking?! ❌

That’s like banning surfers from the ocean or telling dirt jumpers to keep both wheels on the ground.

Absolute madness.

Spread the word, make some noise, and let’s fight the good fight! 👊

The Big Three Results - Crankworx Rotorua 2025

PC: Graeme Murray

Crankworx Rotorua 2025 brought the heat with three major events dominating the weekend:

Dual Slalom, Downhill, and Slopestyle.

The level of competition was unreal, and the winners delivered some jaw-dropping performances.

Maxxis Slopestyle: Big Tricks, Bigger Stakes!

The Maxxis Slopestyle event kicked off with flips, spins, and drama.

With a two-run elimination format, the stakes were higher than ever, pushing riders to go all-in or go home.

No pressure, right?

In the men’s comp, Tim Bringer finally snagged that elusive gold with a 93.25-point run that made the rest of the field look like they were riding with training wheels.

Kaidan Ingersoll was right on his tail with silver, proving that rookies can totally make the vets sweat.

And Ben Thompson (who swooped in last-minute) snatched bronze like he’d been planning it all along.

Plot twist: nobody saw that coming!

Top 10 Results - ELITE MEN

Over in the women’s comp, Patricia Druwen bounced back from illness, throwing down a monster run worth 87.75 points.

Sheelan Reno, last year’s champ, had a solid run but finished just off the podium in fourth.

The top three celebrated in style, riding down like they were in a victory parade -because why not, right?

RockShox Kārearea Downhill - Steep Slopes Meet Speedy Kiwis

The Crankworx Downhill at Rotorua brought a whole new level of intensity with a brand-new course that tested riders’ skills at every turn.

Steep drops, tight corners, and unpredictable conditions made it a wild ride for all involved.

Local Rotorua shredder Lachie Stevens-McNab sent it like he had a dinner reservation to make blazing past the competition to take the win by a spicy 0.603 seconds.

Top 10 Results - ELITE MEN

On the women’s side, Jenna Hastings claimed the top spot with a commanding lead, finishing over six seconds ahead of Camille Balanche.

Louise Ferguson rounded out the podium in third, showing grit and skill in tough conditions.

Specialized Dual Slalom Rotorua: A High-Speed Finish

The Specialized Dual Slalom wrapped up Crankworx Rotorua with a bang.

Think racing, drama, and a whole lot of speed.

Ryan Gilchrist absolutely dominated the 2025 Specialized Dual Slalom Rotorua, proving once again that speed, precision, and a little Aussie grit make for a winning combo.

Sam Blenkinsop kept things tight and stylish, locking in second place, while Richie Rude muscled his way into third, reminding everyone that power counts just as much as finesse.

Bar-to-bar battles, high-stakes drifts, and some seriously close finishes—this one had it all.

After all the Crankworx Rotorua madness, we can finally peel ourselves off the couch and give our refresh button a break. 🛋️💨

Massive sends, wild saves, and enough two-wheeled chaos to make our legs sore just from watching.

Until next time Rotorua. Our adrenaline levels need a minute to recover.

Trail of the Day

Heart Break Ridge - Scotland

PC: nitster21

The variety here is insane - one minute you’re flying down a descent, the next you’re walking because you have zero confidence in either your bike or yourself.

But hey, that just means more excuses to come back, right?

With views and challenges for days, this trail definitely lives up to the hype.

Just don’t forget to tell your bike how sorry you are after some of those sections!

Laugh of the Day

Ben Thompson really said, ‘Last-minute? No problem.’ What a performance! 🔥🥉
