Lost Paradise 3 is here! - The Send It Daily - 265

We’ve got it all today: Maybe the best 120 second video of the month, Fedko’s buttery style points, bikes so dreamy they’ll haunt your wish list, and a history lesson that’ll make you feel like a smarter rider. LET'S SEND IT👇

Photo of the Day

Leave it to Erik Fedko to give us the style we’ve all been looking for.

Fun fact: Erik’s first bike was welded by his dad in 2008. Yep, nothing says "future slopestyle legend" like a DIY bike.

Video of the Day

MUST WATCH. I repeat. MUST WATCH.

Lost Paradise 3 is here! Free ride is most definitely alive for Eliott Lapotre.

Key moment? ALL OF IT. Seriously, don’t blink—you’ll miss enough stoke to fuel a small country. So, drop what you're doing and carve out 120 seconds for this adrenaline symphony.

Side effects: Sweaty palms, a sudden urge to ride, and Googling "how to freeride like Eliott."

I’m so stoked to finally share Lost Paradise 3! We’ve been building and filming for this one since April 2023, wrapping it all up just last month. Pulling these projects together is always a mission, but I’ve really come to enjoy the process. The idea behind Lost Paradise has always been to document freeride mountain biking in a way that inspires people to ride, dig trails, and have fun. This year, I wanted to pay tribute to the big North Shore freeride style that first got me hooked. Building those features wasn’t easy, but they rode like a dream! I couldn’t have done it without my amazing friends who helped along the way. Their support and passion for the sport keep me going. They know who they are, and I’m so grateful for all of them. I hope you enjoy the video! - ELIOTT LAPOTRE

History

The Tale of John Tomac, the Drop-Bar Dynamo

Back in the late '80s and early '90s, when mountain biking was still figuring out what it wanted to be (gritty, wild, or downright weird), John Tomac strolled in and said, “Why not all three?”

Picture this: a World Cup downhill race, gnarly terrain, big drops, and Tomac shows up with... drop bars. Yes, the kind you'd see on a road bike. Everyone laughed—until he started dropping them. This guy was bombing descents on a bike that looked more at home in the Tour de France than in a muddy downhill race.

And it wasn’t just for show. Tomac was a double threat, dominating both XC and downhill, proving that unconventional setups could still smoke the competition. It was the kind of move that rewrote the MTB playbook and made the world realize: sometimes, going fast means thinking weird.

Moral of the story? Never question a legend on drop bars. They just might be on their way to make history.

Bike Porn

This has been on our wish list for awhile. Glittery black never looked so good—meet the COMMENCAL META V5 ÖHLINS Edition.

It features the ÖHLINS RXF36 fork and TTX 22M shock, custom-tuned for buttery handling with their Virtual Contact System.

BURGTEC supplies the cockpit with Enduro Mk3 stem and handlebars worthy of Greg Minnaar’s approval (G.O.A.T. seal included).

Stopping power? TRP DH-R Evo brakes—the same ones Amaury Pierron trusts for World Cup wins.

Got a bike that makes your friends drool? We wanna see it! Shoot us an email at editorial@thesenditdaily.com, and maybe your ride will be the next superstar.
