How much does it cost to buy a bike park?

The 2025 Red Bull Tennessee National is shaping up to be a legendary race series, but here’s the kicker: Aaron Gwin, downhill legend and all-around boss, owns Windrock Bike Park, the event’s venue.

He bought it back in 2023, and ever since, we’ve been dying to know—how much did he pay for his very own shred paradise? Based on past park sales, we’re guessing it wasn’t money pulled from the post ride burrito budget.

The exact price tag? Still a mystery. But based on industry chatter, it likely cost him somewhere in the low seven figures.

For context, a recent bike park project in Texas, Station Mountain Bike Park, is for sale for $3.175 million and is 130 acres. Here is the listing. Anyone want go in on it? Let us know and we’ll give you our Venmo.

Anyways… Windrock spans a whopping 550 acres, and that’s before Gwin announced plans to double its size to 1,100 acres.

If you’ve ever ridden Windrock, you know it’s already an epic place to ride. Now imagine Gwin-level improvements: faster flow trails, crazier features, and probably a pro-line jump named The Gwinch Gap. Add in a chairlift that plays Pantera at full volume, and you’ve got a bike park that’s ready to host the next DH World Cup.

Why buy a bike park? Gwin says it’s all about giving back to the sport and creating a space for riders to push their limits. Reliable sources (okay, Send It Daily commenters) say he’s also been spotted picking up a Home Depot sponsorship for an unlimited supply of rakes, shovels, and leaf blowers.

In the end, we’re just stoked to see what Gwin does with the place. Bigger trails, bigger air, and hopefully no extra charge for parking. All hail the king of Windrock! 👑
